[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”4px”][heading heading=”1 Sentence”][vc_empty_space height=”4px”][vc_column_text]We provide a door to door transport service to currently disadvantaged cancer patients because nobody should have to fight more than their illness in order to get to a place where they can get care.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”4px”][heading heading=”1 Paragraph”][vc_empty_space height=”4px”][vc_column_text]The majority of cancer patients out there either don’t get to their treatments or get there in a compromised and undignified manner. By the provision of a personalized ‘lift club’ travelling daily into the townships and areas where these people are, we hope that we can get more people to treatment and we can eliminate one of the major headaches these folk have – access to transport and mobility.

You are probably sitting at your well lit desk or workspace. Probably just had decent mug of coffee cos no one drinks bad coffee anymore. You are well dressed, well fed and the mere fact that you are reading this mail suggests that things aren’t too bad in your life. How did you get to work this morning?… you don’t ever think about it do you? You just get into your car (central locking, park assist, aircon, leather and if you are a real steamcat you will have a tissue box in the back window) and go. Now imagine for a moment that you live in shack. Your nutrition is questionable and your access to pain and anti-nausea medication is limited. Imagine having to wake up at 4am, walk a few km’s to the nearest bus stop and wait for a taxi that you hope is roadworthy and on time so you don’t miss your chemo slot at the government facility you attend for treatment.Imagine sitting in that cramped up road rocket taking stock of your life and the enemy that is cancer that is gnawing away at your health. I wonder if you would even be well placed enough to fight the cancer mentally because you would be worrying about other things like how you were going to get home or even afford the trip? What you were going to eat or drink or who was going to look after your kids.Imagine getting close to your treatment facility, walking a few hundred metres only to wait in line for your bag of mustard gas. Imagine spending 4-6hrs with this toxic sludge pumping through your body. Then reverse the mission just to get back home. Imagine lying in your bed, alone, for the next 6 days feeling like a drunken amateur sailor. Amidst the haze of nausea caring for yourself, making your own food and running your modest little home, alone, because your loved ones are in the city earning a living. Imagine for one moment that you had to fight cancer with more than the cancer stacked against you – That is a picture of despair folks…
Now imagine if you can play a part in reversing that cycle by getting patients into a comfy car to take them to and from their treatments in a dignified, safe and upbeat manner. Feels pretty good doesn’t it? Imagine knowing that your donation can actually fill and support a very practical need that eliminates just one more headache in our mission to grow a cancer counter culture against one of the world’s most devastating diseases.
